Organs and
organbuilding is based upon a long and rich history,
with events, instruments, music, and accomplishments occurring
during each period of history.
It is important to learn
and apply what has happened in the past to what is occurring
presently. Obviously the best way to is first hand experience.
So as to help with our learning, and as a reference when
researching a particular item or event, Williamson-Warne & Associates
maintains an extensive library of books, periodicals,
brochures, programmes, videos, etc., and also has an
extensive collection of recordings of organs and performances
that we use to further enhance our abilities within our
craft, much like a lawyer would use a legal library to
do research for a case. We on occasion do have visitors
come to our shop to view our printed materials, and listen
to our recordings.
For those that are interested, we
have a listing of our printed materials, videos, and
recordings with a general description of each. Because
of the size, scope and continual addition to our collection,
not all items are listed within.
If you are interested
in viewing our collection, we welcome you to contact
us, and make an appointment with your specific requests.
Also do please inquire if you do not see a particular
item listed, especially programmes in the Los Angeles
area within the past 40 years.
