The pipe organ at the First United Methodist Church started out its life as a Möller organ from 1959. It has limited success because of 2 factors. First off the specification of the organ was to say, quite unusual and very un-orthodox....
Pictured you will find the new façade
casework for the organ. AIl of the new pitman chests,
casework, supports, racking, expression boxes and
fronts were constructed in our shop. The organ was
severely damaged and rendered unplayable in the Northridge
earthquake of 1994...

as it was removed from the church, and upon completion
of its total rebuild. The original Honduras mahogany
console shell was retained, stripped, and completely
refinished to match the new facade casework...

white oak, and finishecl to enhance the beauty of

The High School, originally named Owensmouth High School, was later changed to Canoga Park High School. The organ originally constructed by the California Organ Co. in 1916, was presented to the high school as a gift by the executives of the organ company in appreciation of the education that their children had received...
The organ project at Hollywood United Methodist Church is a long-standing, and on-going project. The project has evolved over the years, to include the rebuilding of the organ’s console, and numerous tonal changes and additions.
