Organ parts for sale

On occasion, we here at Williamson-Warne & Associates are asked to assist in the sale of an instrument, whether it is still installed, or already removed. In this section of our website, we have listed the instruments that we currently either have for sale, or are assisting with the sale.

In addition to the compete instruments, we have a listing of parts for sale. They may be new parts that were never used, to used parts that were for instruments that were rebuilt or recycled or taken in trade. All used parts will be sold in as-is condition, unless otherwise specified. Most parts will be available for pick-up only, and advance arrangements for pick up will need to be made. Payment for parts will be at time of sale only, no exceptions. Additional information regarding specific parts, such as photos or more detailed description will be provided upon request.

We have also listed some more frequently asked questions with answers:

If we are interested in having you sell an organ for us, what is the process?

It certainly depends on where the organ is located. If the organ is locally located to us, we can certainly make a personal site visit, at which point we would photograph the instrument, take notes about the instrument, and give the organ seller an idea what the value of the organ is. If the organ is a distance too far away for a site visit to be practical, we can usually accept the information for the sale electronically. Once the information is gathered, it will be placed on the site. We will gather and screen all potential buyers, and provide them with all necessary information. If a buyer is located, we will, of course, assist with the sale of the instrument. Organs listed and sold through our site will of course, be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

How much do you charge to list an organ or parts for sale?

All organs are listed on our site for free. There is a charge only if the organ is sold through us, which the cost is based on the time and materials used to sell the instrument. For parts, will depend on what parts, and their value. The price will be agreed upon before the parts are listed.

If we see an instrument that we are interested in, what is the process.

Contact us. We will want to asked some questions about your building, the space, your music programme, etc., to help determine if this, or possibly another instrument is better suited for you. If all is agreed, then we will certainly make arrangements for you to come inspect the instrument, and hear it, if possible (some organs that are being removed are in buildings that have no power). If all agree that this is the instrument for you, we will assist with the sale. We can also arrange, through our company, to remove, repair, rebuild, restore, and install the organ in the new building.

If we see parts that we are interested in, what is the process? Can we obtain additional information and pictures?

Contact us. We will certainly be happy to provide any additional information needed, including pictures. If you are interested in something, we will make arrangements for the parts to be picked-up. Remember, payment at time of sale. Some very small parts can be mailed or shipped easily, and arrangements can be made.

If we have spare parts to sell, will you buy them? Will you sell them for us? Will you take parts on consignment?

Generally no. We will only buy parts that we could conceive using in the foreseeable future. We generally will not buy parts to re-sell, or take parts to sell on consignment. We will, of course, consider each item on a case-by-case basis.

If we list an organ or parts to sell with you, do you require an exclusive listing?

No. But it is the responsibility of the organ or parts owner if the organ or parts have been sold through another channel or are no longer available.

If the organ is of such value that it is not worth being sold as a whole instrument, can you help list the sellable parts?

Absolutely! We can assist you to help determine what is of value, and to help determine what the value of the parts are, and then list them on our site.
